Hi, everyone! Do you have a teenager or young adult at home who gobbles up books then scavenges for more? If so, you don’t want to miss this! Today, I have an author who might be able to satisfy their cravings. Susanne Lambdin is the author of The Dead Heart Novel Series. Take a look! Hi, Susanne! Welcome and thanks for taking the time to talk with me about your life and work. S: My pleasure! I’m ready to talk to you about zombies! But since you’re a native Kansan, I wanted to ask about that first. Where did you grow up? S: I am from Wichita, Kansas.  Tell me a little bit about your background. Did you go to college? S: I attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated with a BA in Professional Writing. At the time I went to OU, you had to go through the Journalism school since they didn’t offer … click here to read the full article.

Welcome back! I want to start off by saying how much I appreciate you stopping by to check out my interviews with these fabulous people. I hope you’re checking out the rest of the website along the way! Anyone who has ever managed their own website knows how much work goes into these boogers so it means a bunch that you’ve spent any of your precious time here. With that said, I have another exceptional person for you to get to know today. Thank you for joining us today, Thomas. T: Thanks for your interest. Let’s start with where you’re orginially from. T: I’ve lived nearly all my life in this wonderful state of the Union. I lived most of that time in Fort Scott, Kansas, but have lived in Augusta where I graduated from high school, and Emporia where I graduated with two degrees. Impressive! May I ask what your two … click here to read the full article.

Hello, everyone! This is the first in a series of blog posts I plan to write on self-harm. Please join me in welcoming Patti J. Smith, author of ‘Moments with God’ as well as many other works in the Christian, Romance, and Suspense genres. CL:  Welcome, Patti! First of all, thank you for being willing to speak with me about a topic that is so personal. You’re very brave. As you know, I just released my debut novel in June titled, Memoirs of a Girl Who Loves God, and the main character is a fourteen-year-old girl who struggles with a self-harm addiction. Her particular addiction is cutting. Could you tell me what forms of self-harm you were or are afflicted by? PS:  I was afflicted by alcoholism and promiscuity which resulted in my being institutionalized for being suicidal. What do you feel caused your behavior? I learned through therapy, alcohol rehabilitation and a … click here to read the full article.

I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but my book cover will knock most peep’s socks off. I’m not being big-headed; I’m just being honest. Easy for me to be boastful when I didn’t do the work. Well, I did one thing. I took the photo of the girl on the cover. That’s it. I’m not going to post it here because I don’t want to you to see my cover any other way than how it is right now. You know, I can’t even take credit for finding Zei. He actually did some work for my honey first… and then I kind of stole him. Zei helped us take our projects to the next level and I’m so grateful. He took the time to work with me and ask questions. He made a gazillion changes for me when I couldn’t make up my ever-lovin’ mind! I know I drove this poor … click here to read the full article.

Oh my goodness. I don’t know where to start so I better try the beginning. Melissa and I met on Twitter. I think it may have been through Adam Dreece (YA Steampunk Author), but I’m unsure. I was looking for beta readers and Melissa jumped in to help me out. Now, for the most part, beta reading is on a volunteer basis (free service). Some peeps try to charge, but there’s a good reason to try and stay away from paying for beta services. I digress. Melissa has probably been through my book as many times as I have. Okay, that might be stretching it a bit. However, she beta read, copyedited, and proofread my book all for a very reasonable rate, but that’s not all. Melissa also assisted me in ‘getting my affairs in order.’ The amount of work that goes into self-publishing from top to bottom is ghastly! … click here to read the full article.

I’m so excited and grateful to finally release Memoirs of a Girl Who Loves God into the world. I wish I could say it went without a hitch, but there were a few hiccups that are being worked on. That’s okay though… the ebook is out! It’s on Amazon and I hope you’ll take a peek and see if it’s your thing! The print book will be along shortly, but there is still a learning curve there. I’m promptly calling Ingram Spark for assistance tomorrow. But I think for this being my first time around, I handled the unknown pretty well! Plus, now I know what to expect for my next book and will have fewer hiccups… hopefully :D. I have a lot of family and friends who are waiting for the print version, so I’m trying to take care of it as quickly as possible. Do you hear the whip … click here to read the full article.
